Katherine J. DeMartino
A lifelong resident of Saratoga County, Katherine earned her B.A. from SUNY Albany and then her J.D. from Albany Law School. Shortly after graduating from Albany Law School, Katherine joined the Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office where she was a member of the Vehicular Crimes Unit and responsible for prosecuting the most serious vehicular related crimes, including vehicular assaults and vehicular manslaughter. Katherine prosecuted hundreds of drunk and drugged related driving offenses, conducted countless suppression hearings in local and county courts and tried numerous high profile felony cases to successful verdict. Katherine was also responsible for prosecuting other serious offenses, including assaults, burglaries, and crimes against animals. Her prior experience as a prosecutor provides her a unique perspective and approach to successfully handling a criminal case.
Katherine utilized this experience every day as an attorney with Brennan and White, LLP, where she was responsible for the majority of the firm’s criminal defense practice throughout Warren, Washington, and Saratoga counties. As a member of that firm Katherine handled all felony level offenses, misdemeanors, violations and traffic offenses in the city, local and county courts for her clients.
In addition to her experience in handling criminal matters, Katherine has significant experience in family law matters. Katherine regularly assists clients in challenging and emotionally difficult family court matters including child custody disputes, child support, neglect, and family offenses. Katherine has conducted hearings, trials and drafted numerous settlement agreements on child custody matters in family court.
